Areas

There are 32 areas currently in the game, and a large majority of them are available in act 1 of the game. All areas are accesible in Act 3, though a large majority of them are changed from Act 1 and 2.

Act 1 Areas

Bone Botom-The starting area where the first boss is fought, and where the first town you will encounter is.

The Marrow-A lava-filled area with small enemies and the first ability you unlock

Deep Docks-An industrial area with workers turned mad by thread and houses one of the recurring NPCs in the game, along with the very first movement ability in the game

Far Fields-A grassy flatlands filled with lava, superheated coals, and wildlife, along with the hostile tribe the Skarr, and The Seamstress who stitches you the Drifter's Cloak

Hunter's March-The homeland of the Skarr, and filled with traps, spikes, and difficult platforming

Greymoor-The home of the Craws, and the hunting grounds of the Moorwing, and the opening to Bellhart

Bellhart-A town haunted by thread strung by The Widow, and once freed becomes the main hub of Silksong, with vendors, The Pinmaster, and in the later game your Bellhome

Shellwood-A forest-like area with various flora and fauna, accompanied By Sister Splinter, a larger and stronger version of some of the enemies you'll encounter there, and where you acquire Cling Grip and the Pollip Pouch.

Blasted Steps-A windy area at the foot of The Citadel Gates, the home of the judges who determine wether a pilgrim is sinless or not before allowing them entry to the citadel.

Sinner's Road-A farming ground For muckroaches, filled with their keepers that have been turned insane by the threads spun throughout the rest of Pharloom.

Bilewater-Once a lush land filled With clean water, but polluted by The Citadel after their waste was dumped into it via the Exhaust Organ on the other side of the Mist, which is controlled by phantom, a being of spun thread trapped in the Exhaust Organ until the end of their life

Wormways-An optional area filled with worms that burrow through the ground, along with the NPC Alchemist Zylotol

Mount Fay-Normally accessed in the second act of the game, there is an area where you can get taken to the Slab, and by extension, Mount Fay

The Slab-Similarly to Mount Fay, it's normally only accessed in Act 2, but can be accessed early.

Act 2 Areas

Accessible after defeating the Last Judge or Phantom, it is mostly composed of the Citadel, along with a few other areas.

Grand Gates-The gates to the entrance of the Citadel.

Underworks-Filled with gears and cogs, it's the heart and inner workings of the Citadel.

Choral Chambers-The large halls of the Citadel, filled with faithful pilgrims that managed to make the journey.

Whispering Vaults-Managed by the Vaultkeepers, it houses all of the stories, songs, and lore of the citadel.

Cogwork Core-The middle section of the Citadel, maintained by the Cogflys and other robots found inside.

Whiteward-The hospital found within the Citadel, the home of gruesome experiments using Silk to attempt to increase lifespan.

Memorium-A museum dedicated to keeping Pharloom's history alive.

High Halls-An area in the right side of the Citadel where the pilgrims go to worship and sing.

Putrified Ducts-

Sands of Karak-An area that's similar to the Blasted Steps, but holds a sub area inside called the Voltnest which is the home of the Voltvyrm, along with the Coral Tower

Act 3 Areas

Only accesssible after a long questline and completing every wish in the game, it is a very hidden portion that has multiple unique enemies, bosses, and the true ending of Silksong.

Verdania-An area that, similar to the Coral Tower, can only be accessed in the 3rd Act, but is grassy and full of life, with the boss at the end of the fairly large area being the Green Prince and his partner, who isn't actually there and is instead a memory made of fog that can't be attacked. The fight itself is similar to the Cogwork Dancers, except for a unique attack, which replaces the slashes in the middle with a rotating tornado.

Coral Caverns-A brightly colored coral area teased in the original trailer for Hollow Knight: Silksong, but a large majority of it was unfortunately scrapped turning it into the Coral Tower in the final cut of the game, and shrunk into a small enemy gauntlet with a boss at the end called Crust King Khann the that's only accessible in Act 3, but one of the main developers said that it didn't fit the feel of the game, being a bright area full of life in a collapsing, decaying world, and it ended up being turned into the Blasted Steps and Sand of Karak

Far Fields:Past-There is no official name of the area that Skarrsinger Karmelita is fought, it is located in the Far Fields in the past.

Grand Gates:Past-A hidden area hidden in the Grand Gate that is only accessible in Act 3. It is a small area that only holds the boss Nyleth. It is guarded by the boss Seth who, upon defeat, becomes an NPC that can be found in various parts of the kingdom.

The Abyss-The area where Silk Soar is acquired, it is where the Void is found, and where the final boss is fought.
